Fogging Machines – Your Best Weapon for Disinfecting & Sanitising

With the country corralled by Coronavirus, keeping clean and sanitised has never been so important. Most of us have hand washing down to a fine art and are careful about our personal hygiene but how do we ensure our working environments and public establishments are safe to go back to, especially now that lockdown is easing?

It is no surprise that thousands of domestic, industrial, educational and social settings are desperately looking for a solution that will help to eradicate all traces of the virus as they re-open their doors. There is a solution fogging machine disinfecting.

APT have 30 years industry experience and provide specialist advice on fogging disinfection and sanitation across all businesses including health and social sectors throughout the UK.

We have helped 1000’s of organisations fight this pandemic. We have advised companies both large and small right throughout the UK and Europe. We have the greatest understanding that at such uncertain times, keeping your families, colleagues and employees safe is of upmost importance.

What Can a Fogging Machine do?

Fogging machines are a powerful and versatile method to eliminate any kind of sanitisation problem including those pesky, sputnik-shaped Corona particles that can’t be seen with the naked eye. Not only will they get rid of COVID-19 but they also have the added benefit of being able to destroy pests, mould spores and other unwanted health hazards leaving everywhere squeaky clean, germ and virus free. These amazing pieces of equipment can be used inside and out; over an entire room or specific area for general deep cleaning, disinfection and deodorisation in order to achieve full sanitisation. It’s no wonder they are the go-to piece of machinery in an array of industries where germ control and meeting new government safety standards are the order of the day, 7 days a week.

How Does a Fogger Work?

The machine works by using pressure to release a fine mist of anti-bacterial and disinfecting chemicals onto hard surfaces and soft furnishings but also into the air to control dangerous diseases at the same time. Most importantly they can be used with an antiviral disinfectant to kill pathogenic viruses making them effective weapons in our fight against COVID-19.

Fogging disinfection is a method to help eradicate infectious diseases; it is a fast, safe and thorough process. When using the correct antiviral disinfectant for fogging machines, 99.9% of all bacteria can be killed. It is recommended to use Viro Kill, an amphoteric terminal disinfectant.  See our antiviral disinfectant - Viro Kill.

The fogger produces micro-droplets of disinfectant (Viro Kill) and biocides that float in the air for around 10 minutes after application. Dispersing these micro-droplets into the air means the solution can reach areas that could not otherwise be reached by conventional cleaning methods. Studies show when you use a fogger machine for disinfecting, it significantly reduces the number of viable infectious pathogens by treating the surfaces and the air. It is a quick, clean process and does not require the removal of any items.

Under typical conditions, fogging is carried out for a minimum of 15–30min to enable the fog to disperse and the chemical action to occur. After fogging, an additional period of 45–60min is required to allow the droplets to settle out of the air and onto the surfaces. Electrostatic charging of chemical fogs during aerosolisation can improve the application as the droplets will be attracted to surfaces that are electrically charged.

What is the best antiviral fogger disinfectant?

Viro Kill fogging machine liquid is scientifically designed with a broad spectrum of activity and conforms to BS EN1276. Viro-Kill, a disinfectant and biocide with a fast kill rate, it contains a specialised primary biocide that works quickly against enveloped viruses, HBV/HIV, Hepatitis B, Herpes simplex, Rota Virus, Bovine, Corona Virus/SARS-CoV and H1N1 Avian influenza. Viro-Kill is a food safe, high concentrate, low odour formula. It is safe to use in kitchens, food processing and manufacturing.

Professional Oven Cleaner - Friday, August 22, 2014

A clean oven is an oven you want to cook on; a dirty oven is a health risk. Your oven will get dirty in time, especially heavy duty industrial ovens, and it’s important to remove any grime, grease and residue from your oven interior and exterior as regularly as you need to.

When searching for a professional oven cleaner, you need something which contains non-toxic and non-caustic chemicals, as this will make cleaning methods safe and effective. You should use a product which is harmless but still strong enough to do the job properly, and which is non-aggressive and environmentally friendly.

Even if your oven seems in poor condition, or caked in residue and grime, it can often be given a new lease of life through the cleaning process if you use the right products and do the job properly.

For something that will shift even the most stubborn of residues, why not try APT Cleaning Supplies’ Gladiator professional oven cleaner for use on industrial ovens? This product works to remove hardened, baked-on grease and carbon deposits and is fully biodegradable.

Concentrated Carpet Cleaning Chemicals - Monday, August 18, 2014

Just as clothes require regular washing so do carpets require cleaning to keep them fresh and looking good?

Carpets are sometimes expensive additions to your indoor environment. If you invest properly in your carpets then they should provide you with years of service, and by keeping your carpets clean you will be able to preserve that investment.

Carpets are good at concealing airbourne matter as well as the dirt brought in under shoes. If the carpet fibres are left dirty for an extended period of time then the fibres will become damaged, giving the carpet a dulled and dirty appearance.

Does your carpet have a poor appearance? Does vacuuming no longer create much of an impact?

If this is the case, then it’s time to invest in something else: invest in concentrated carpet cleaning chemicals. Equipping yourself or your cleaners with concentrated carpet cleaning chemicals will revive and restore your carpets and return them to their former glory.

APT Cleaning Supplies has developed a range of concentrated carpet cleaning chemicals, ideal for the thorough cleaning of your carpets. After all, carpet cleaning is not just about beautification. Carpet cleaning is more about the removal of dirt, allergens and bacteria. Regular maintenance of your carpets will prolong life, keep the fibres clean and protect against the build-up of dirt.

Janitorial Cleaning Supplies - Tuesday, August 12, 2014

Operating any large scale service can be a very demanding job. From hiring the right employees to making sure that they have the right tools and equipment for the task at hand, it can be difficult to effectively organise. If you own or operate a company specialising in janitorial cleaning services, one thing that can be particularly troublesome is finding the best chemicals to allow your workers to do an efficient, effective job. Janitors will work in a wide variety of businesses and industries and their equipment stores should reflect this. Unfortunately though, with such a variety of floors, surfaces and materials to clean, you may well end up with a huge bill after buying the supplies!

One of the most common problems with ordering janitorial cleaning supplies is buying diluted chemicals. Most cleaning chemical suppliers will dilute their chemicals for one reason or another, but this can cause two main problems. First of all, it isn't an ideal for your workers to constantly have to carry around large quantities of diluted chemicals and then spend more time cleaning due to their reduced effectiveness. Secondly, you will have to pay much more to have the products shipped out to you in the first place! The solution to this problem is to only use a chemical supplier who can offer low cost, concentrated janitorial cleaning supplies. Just visit www.aptcleaningsupplies.co.uk to find out more.

Our products are not low cost initially - its the high dilution rates that cause them to then be SERIOUSLY cheap - this needs to be mentioned.
